TIPS AND RECIPES

Diffusion

  • Create a magical ambience with the aromatic scents of the Canadian forest by adding 20 to 30 drops of the Nordika blend, Fir Balsam or Black Spruce essential oil.

OR

  • Create a unique festive ambience with a fruity-spicy orange-cinnamon aroma by adding 30 drops of the Celebration blend or 29 drops of the organic Sweet Orange essential oil with one drop of organic True Cinnamon bark essential oil.

…in an AERIUM® electric diffuser or a DIFFUSIUM™ oil burner (always add water in the top dish) or in a cooking pot of hot water on your stove top (heat lightly, do not boil water).

You can follow the same recipe by using one of our 10 other blends.

Alternative for a room spray: mix 30 drops of any blend in 1/2 to 1L of distilled water into a spray bottle. Shake well before use. Spray in the room (avoid spraying near the eyes).


Massage - For Lovers

  • Dilute 5 drops of the Sensual or Seduction blend or Ylang Ylang complete or Jasmine absolute 10% in 1 teaspoon of Jojoba or Rosehip vegetable oil.

Bath - For Lovers

Non Foaming Bath

  • Dilute 5 drops of Sensual or Seduction blend or Ylang Ylang complete or Jasmine absolute 10% in a glass container of 1 teaspoon SOLUBOL.
  • Mix well with 100ml water (approx. 3.4 ounces).
  • Pour under full running water.

Foaming Bath

  • Dilute the same quantities of essential oils in 1 tablespoon of unscented (fragrance-free) foaming bath or shampoo.
  • Mix well and simply pour under full running water.

Recipes - For Cookies, Muffins & Pancakes (4 to 6 servings)

  • Add 5 drops of Lemon or Sweet Orange or Lime or Grapefruit (white or pink) or Bergamot or 1 drop of each essential oil in the type of fat used for your recipe (vegetable oil, butter, margarine, etc.).

You can also use these essential oils for all other pastry and cake recipes.


Recipes - For Salad Dressings (4 to 6 servings)

  • Split a drop: simply dip the tip of a needle into the essential oil bottle of Tropical Basil or Spanish or Moroccan Oregano or Tarragon.
  • Mix the essential oil on the needle in your vegetable oil. One essential oil drop is often too strong!
  • Add 1 teaspoon of cider or red/white wine vinegar + 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard + freshly crushed or chopped garlic + salt & pepper. Enjoy!

Alcohol-Free Natural Perfumes

  • Mix 2 drops Rose Otto 10% + 2 drops Neroli 10% or 2 drops Rose Otto 10% + 2 drops Jasmine absolute 10%.
  • Apply on your skin.

Please note that our 10 % essential oils & absolutes are already diluted in 90% Jojoba oil. Therefore, your natural perfume will be moisturizing as well!


 

BACK TO SCHOOL !

EASY TO DO HAIR TREATMENTS

ORGANIC TEA TREE + LAVENDER HYBRID SUPER

Treatment #1 - Shampoo

Mix 5 drops of DIVINE ESSENCE® organic Tea Tree + Lavender Hybrid Super essential oils (alternatively Fine Lavender, True Lavender or Spike Lavender) in 1 teaspoon of shampoo. Massage the scalp and hair. Leave in for 5 minutes and rinse well.

Treatment #2 - Capillary treatment

Mix 10 drops of DIVINE ESSENCE® organic Tea Tree + Lavender Hybrid Super essential oils (alternatively Fine Lavender, True Lavender or Spike Lavender) in 1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil (or other vegetable oil). Massage hair and scalp thoroughly. Put a towel or shower cap over the hair. Leave in for a minimum of 3 hours. For best results, leave in all night. After the treatment, follow with the shampoo (see treatment #1) and rinse well. Comb/brush the hair meticulously.

Treatment #3 - Capillary lotion

Mix 25 drops of DIVINE ESSENCE® organic Tea Tree + Lavender Hybrid Super essential oils (or Fine Lavender or True Lavender or Spike Lavender) in 100ml of DIVINE ESSENCE® organic Fine Lavender floral water (hydrosol). Note: Shake well for 30 seconds before spraying on the hair. Keep in hair throughout the day.

Warning:

  • It is highly recommended that you first carry out a 'patch' test. A patch test consists of applying one of each essential oil on the inside of your wrist and then cover your wrist with a bandage for 30 to 60 minutes. If your skin does not react (redness or irritation) than you can use the essential oil directly on your skin. In the case of minor irritation you should reduce the amount of drops used.
  • If these essential oil preparations come in direct contact with the eyes, soak a cotton ball or swab in vegetable oil and apply on the eyes to soothe the irritation.
